Messianic Bible (News@BiblesforIsrael.com) – 3/8/21;  An amazing discovery in Jerusalem proves that the word of God is active, living and the words of the Bible are absolutely true.  A high ranking government seal was discovered in a four-room structure in Jerusalem on a hillside facing the Western Wall just 100 meters from the Temple Mount.  The early Hebrew writing on the seal says, “[Belonging] to the governor [sar] of the city” and is dated to the 7th century BC, a time when the First Temple still stood. The seal verifies that this government job existed, just as we are told in 2 Kings, where Joshua is referred to as the governor of the city in the days of Hezekiah.  And in 2 Chronicles, we learn that Maaseiah is governor of the city in the days of Josiah.

“The finding of the impression with this high-rank title, in addition to the large assemblage of actual seals found in the building in the past, supports the assumption that this area, located on the western slopes of the western hill of ancient Jerusalem, some 100 meters west of the Temple Mount, was inhabited by highly ranked officials during the First Temple period,” said Dr. Shlomit Weksler-Bdolah, the site excavation director.

“The building probably served as an administration center. The people who gave orders may have had to sign documents here. It may also have been a place for the rich, the more important people, because the location is really important,” she added.

Reasons to Believe (2/2021) reports that astronomer James Green and his research team  in Science Advances recently discovered that the magnetic fields of the Moon and Earth temporarily merged approximately four billion years ago (our earth and moon are calculated to have emerged about 5 to 5.5 billion years ago), forming a “coupled magnetosphere”.

If not for this “coupling” at just the right time, Earth’s hydrosphere (oceans, lakes, etc.) and atmosphere would have been destroyed by the young Sun’s intense solar wind and radiation.  Obviously, without oceans and an atmosphere, we wouldn’t be here.

Eventually, the Moon spiraled farther from Earth, its magnetic field dissipated, the Sun’s wind and radiation intensity declined, and Earth’s own magnetosphere became sufficient for the protection of our oceans, atmosphere, and early life.

Astronomer Hugh Ross concludes, “after surveying all the related scientific studies, I can say with confidence that the most reasonable explanation for this exquisite astronomical fine-tuning is that a supernatural Creator intended to provide a home for us, a place where we can not only exist, but also thrive and enter into a personal, eternal relationship with Him.”
